Some have speculated that gamers will see a rise in remasters which in turn will be used to help fund future offerings.
With that in mind, here are some games that I think are long overdue for a new release and would be embraced by fans.
Killzone: This is a well-loved franchise and it would be great to see what could be done with the current levels of technology. Imagine the online and even V.R. options that could be utilized for the game and how intense the action of an online match or even squad-based missions would be.
Resistance
The three games were challenging and interesting and the third even featured 3D capabilities. Rather than a remake; a entirely new chapter would be something to see and allow players to form their own groups to co-op missions and campaigns would be a interesting option to allow as well as letting players play in groups on both sides of the conflict.
Twisted Metal
This is one of the biggest mysteries for me as the television show is about to go into a second season so one would think that the desire to take advantage of this success would have arrived in either a new game or remasters.
The ability to take the vehicle laden carnage to a new level and allow some great online teamwork or competition would be ideal for fans and ideal for modern systems.
Navy Seals.
I know there are several issues around the rights but with the success of Call of Duty there is a market for squad based action games and being able to use the PSVR2 as well would add an entirely new layer of immersion to what is already an tense and enjoyable franchise.
Infamous
The series has been a success and fans are likely eager to see a new installment. Sony may have let this slip too long but a new release will likely ignite the franchise anew.
