Dying Light Celebrates Ten Years

Hard to believe it is already ten years.

January, 27th – Ten years ago, Harran and Kyle Crane were introduced to the world for the first time, and since then the Dying Light franchise has been enjoyed by more than 45 million zombie slayers. The first game changed the open world survival horror genre forever, pushing it forward with the introduction of the dual night and day experience that has since become a series staple. During the day, players faced slow-moving zombies, which gave a false sense of normalcy. But as the sun set, the rules of the game changed dramatically. New dangers and apex predators emerged, taking control of the night. Alongside the night and day experience, Dying Light focused on visceral, savage combat and natural parkour movement, allowing for a new level of both free movement and creative brutality.

This year, we celebrate this remarkable decade and a journey that wouldn’t have been possible without our fantastic community of 45+ million diehard fans! Players have truly shaped what Dying Light is today. And the numbers are astonishing: since the release of our first title in 2015, they have racked up 75 billion zombie kills and over 1 billion hours of playtime!
