Silent Hill 2 and Death Stranding 2: On The Beach Reveal Vinyl Soundtracks

Sounds like some great music is coming for gamers.

Tonight marks the biggest night of the year for the gaming industry, and Mondo is excited to celebrate two nominees for The Game Awards 2024 with exclusive vinyl soundtracks! Silent Hill 2 and Death Stranding 2: On The Beach are vying for awards in categories like Best Score and Music, Best Performance, and Most Anticipated Game. You can bring the iconic sounds from these beloved titles to your record player with these unique releases.
Like the geographical differences between the maps of the two games, musically SILENT HILL 2 feels like somewhere you’ve been before, but somehow also mysteriously different and unique. It’s haunting and beautiful at one moment, tense and spine-tingling the next. If SILENT HILL is a frightful jump scare, SILENT HILL 2 will haunt you in your dreams for years to come.

DEATH STRANDING‘s composer Ludvig Forssell has taken Kojima’s complex vision and crafted a score worthy of the game’s intricate design. Sci-fi synth, pounding percussion and swirling strings collide with choirs in beautiful and discordant ways as you travel the country in search of connection, while avoiding the spectres that also occupy the land. It all comes together with the beautiful BB’s Theme, a haunting lullaby, sung by Jenny Plant that would surely be Oscar Nominated for Best Song, if only this were a movie.
