Hellbreach: Vegas Delivers Action And Lots Of It

Hellbreach: Vegas is a fast and engaging action game that features solo or group play in the famed Sin City against hordes of Demons.

Players start out with a basic pistol and a limited playing area and must survive waves of enemies in order to gain Skulls which can be used to unlock new areas of the maps. The new areas offer access to new weapons, power-ups, and Slots which players can spin to gain new abilities and weapons as well as other enhancements.

Players can opt for unlimited rounds or set a pre-determined round length and enjoy the various enemies they encounter. Players can also obtain ammunition along the way as the guns will run dry fast against the enemy legions and making strategic reload purchases is key.

In online play; a player who is downed will stay that way until they are revived or until the next round and as long as there is one surviving player; the game will continue and the demonic boss will taunt you between waves.

The enemy variety is solid and features some with special abilities as well as special waves featuring Crows and other creatures where a run-and-gun strategy is often the best way to go.

I was pleasantly surprised by the game as at first it reminded me of the older Zombie modes for Call of Duty with less emphasis on story and puzzle solving. Once the action started I was hooked though I did wonder what to do next after I had unlocked all the areas I could find and was still alive and kicking after 17 levels.

The online feature helped as it was great fun playing with random players and hopefully, new weapons, creatures, and locales will be added at a later date, for those looking for some straight-up action without having to focus on plot and puzzles; this may be just the game for you.
