Stuntman Colt Seavers (Ryan Gosling), is a master of his craft. He is the go-to guy fall stunts big and small and has become the in-demand Stuntman for stars including Mega-star Tom Ryder (Aaron Taylor-Johnson).
Colt is involved with Jody Moreno (Emily Blunt), who works with filming and has aspirations of becoming a Director.
When an accident happens, Colt hits-rock-bottom and leaves his career and Jody behind and spends his time as a Valet with no ambition.
Producer Gail Meyer (Hannah Waddingham), enlists the reluctant Colt to fly to Australia to help Jody with her Directorial debut insisting that she asked for his help.
Despite a severe reluctance; Colt takes the offer and soon learns that Jody wants nothing to do with him and he is there as star Tom Ryder has disappeared and become involved with shady characters which requires Colt to find and return the Star all while managing his feelings and relationship with Jody and doing his scheduled work.
Naturally there is a deeper mystery involved, and action and danger follow Colt on and off the set.
The movie is based on the 1980s television show featuring Lee Majors and the film is a delight from start to finish.
Not only does former Stuntman turned Director David Leitch give audiences great stunts and a nre appreciation for those who risk their well-being to bring the impossible to life, but he deftly combines action and comedy to create a film that is the perfect Date Night and Action Film offering.
The cast is fantastic and the chemistry is abundant as are the numerous Pop Culture references and Rock Song Sountrack.
The movie was such an enjoyable ride that I hope we see this team back for more adventures soon as this is a reason that Cinematic films can be such an enjoyable communal experience.
