Today, Sony Pictures Virtual Reality (SPVR) and award-winning VR developer, nDreams, released the first of many planned content updates for Ghostbusters: Rise of the Ghost Lord. Featuring the FREE competitive game mode, “Heist & Seek” friendships will be tested when players compete to earn the most golden loot while fending off “polterheists.” Ghostbusters: Rise of the Ghost Lord also debuted two new skins – a character skin, “Keymaster,” and an equipment skin, “Gator.”
In “Heist & Seek,” three bank-robbing brothers from the great beyond are carrying out a heist for old time’s sake, and it’s up to the Ghostbusters to put them away for good! Players must team up to encounter each ghostly crook one at a time by locating piles of golden loot and fending off a stream of golden ghosts. Ghostbusters will follow the Polterheist to each pile of gold leading up to the final showdown. But the greed of the bandits rubs off on players, and now teammates are pitted against one another to compete for catches. If a Ghostbuster goes down, the money they’ve collected in the mission so far can be stolen by the reviving player on their team.
In addition to the exciting new free game mode, players on all platforms who own the Full Containment season pass can now claim the newest character skin, “Keymaster,” and equipment skin, “Gator.” The skins can also be purchased separately each for $1.99 or together at a discounted price as part of the first Buster Bundle pack for $2.99.
Last but not least, Ghostbusters: Rise of the Ghost Lord has also received new quality-of-life updates and bug fixes. For the complete list of patch notes, players can visit the nDreams Discord.
