What is Marvel Superhero Island?

In Orlando, Florida, Marvel Superhero Island is located in Universal Orlando’s Island of Adventure. This theme park is based on the Marvel Comics turned movies superheroes. Fans are able to step into the world of Marvel and work alongside the likes of the Incredible Hulk, Spider-Man, the X-Men, and many more. The theme park is modeled after the comics with larger-than-life-size cutouts of the Marvel characters. It is a dream come true for any Marvel fan.
Attractions
These can no longer be called rides because they are attractions more than anything else. They have a ride component to them, but they are so much more. This is pure delight for anyone who loves Marvel movies. On the Incredible Hulk Coaster, you become a test subject for an experiment on this roller coaster. Riders launch at more the 60 miles an hour, moving through seven inversions. Storm Force Accelatron is a teacup ride like you have never imagined. You use your ride to create storm energy to help Storm defeat Magneto. Then, of course, there are the Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man. No Marvel theme park would be complete without allowing you a chance to start in the Daily Bugle newsroom and then swing around the city of New York.
Dining
No visit to Superhero Island would be complete without a character dinner. While you eat, you have a chance to interact with many of your favorite superheroes, including Captain America, Spider-Man, and Wolverine. You can find more information about the days character dinners are available by searching online. A Google search also tells you who may make an appearance for your dinner. According to Internet Live Stats, Google processes more than 3.5 billion searches each day. So you are sure to find all the information you want. If a sit-down dinner is not for you, there are many quick-serve locations where you can grab some food and go. This allows you to keep moving through the park without much downtime.
Shopping
Marvel Superhero Island is the best place to get all your superhero gear. You can find items here that you will not find anywhere else. For example, Spider-Man has a shop all to himself called the Spider-Man shop. In addition, there is a comic book store, a boutique, and the Marvel Alterniverse Store. This is the largest shop on Superhero Island. It has sections devoted to specific Marvel characters, villains, and heroes. This is also the place where you can meet Spider-Man.
Accessibility
For those in a wheelchair, Marvel Superhero Island may not be as fun. This theme park provides wheelchair rentals, both electric and push wheelchairs. There have been 1.7 million people in the US using mobility scooters or wheelchairs. You can get around the park inside reasonably well in a wheelchair as the streets have plenty of room. However, the downside may be the rides. Most of them cannot accommodate a wheelchair. If you want to ride them, you need to transfer them from your wheelchair to the ride seat. If you are not able to transfer by yourself, a ride attendant is able to help you.
