Knott’s Berry Farm Hotel Adapts Well To Covid-19 Safety

Recently we stayed at the Knott’s Berry Farm hotel and got a chance to see how they are operating under the pandemic. We had stayed at the hotel three times prior and despite the challenges of operating under the current guidelines; the hotel exceeded all of our expectations.

We called about thirty minutes out from the hotel to ask if we could check-in upon arrival as while we were not expecting the room to be ready for several hours, we hoped to save some time by completing the desk work ahead of time.

We were told that the room was ready and we were able to do a prompt check-in and get our luggage to our room and went ahead with our plans with ease.

Our room was spacious and very clean and we were informed that under the new guidelines; maid service would not happen on a daily basis and if we needed things such as towels; to simply call down to the desk. Trash was left outside the room and promptly collected.

The television remote was in a sanitized bag and the room looked and smelled very clean.  In keeping with the safety guidelines; guests must do a daily health screening which involves a digital temperature check and questions. Guests are then given a colored wristband to wear which shows they have been screened and also allows them fast access to the park as they can bypass the health check at the park.

The gym was not available and the gift shop and Snoopy encounters were not available and the Amber Waves restaurant only offered breakfast for guests with much of it being a to-go option.

Those looking to enjoy the pool area could do so during certain hours but required a reservation. Mask use and spacing were required and the elevators were limited to the same party so groups of quests were not allowed to share an elevator car.

All of this was actually very easy to follow and at no time did we ever feel inconvenienced by the guidelines as they in fact made our stay even easier and gave us an added level of comfort.

The nearby shops and dining options were mostly available and while we were not ready for in-person outdoor dining, we were able to pick up items from Mrs. Knott’s to Go which had a nice selection.

It should be noted that the room did not have a Refrigerator or microwave so we brought a small portable fridge with us.

During our stay, we did attend the Taste of Boysenberry Festival which offered up some live entertainment, shopping, and plenty of great food and drink options with a reduced capacity and mask and space guidelines.

The room offered the usual amenities such as in-room coffee, an ironing board, hairdryer, and Flat Screen television with a great selection of channels including one on the history of the park which is always great to see.

Our stay went very well and with so many great locations near the park for dining, shopping, and entertainment, the Knott’s Berry Farm hotel offered up a great stay as always.
