With the recently concluded Season of WandaVision; Disney+ has given fans eager for the debut of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier something new from the Marvel Universe to enjoy.
Assembled: The Making of WandaVision is an hour-long and in-depth look into the cast and creative talents behind the show. Featuring interviews with the cast as well as the people behind the music, visuals, and more; the show gives fans a look at the process behind creating the varied looks and themes for the shows that used visual and audio quest from the Golden Age of television through today.
Paul Bettany talking about how he became the voice of Jarvis and how it became playing Vision was amazing enough but to hear Elizabeth Olsen talk about growing up in the 90s and having to adopt the look and mannerisms of the 80s was pure gold.
A segment talking about the music of the show and how themes for the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, and 00s, was highly engaging as so many classic shows were researched to create new music which was fitting for the show while remaining authentic to the era in which it was portrayed.
I found it interesting to see that some episodes were filmed with a studio audience to give it that authentic sitcom feels as one would not expect to be attending live filming of anything Marvel unless you were part of the production.
It is the abundance of charming stories such as Randall Park talking about being thrilled to return as Jimmy Woo again or hearing how Teyonah Parris did not know whom she was in talks to play but was excited to think that it could be Monica Rambeau showed me that the cast and creative talents have a genuine love and enthusiasm for being part of the growing Marvel Universe and it is more than a job for them; it is a labor of love.
There was also a very fun segment about the amount of time the cast had to be on wires to do the flying and hovering sequences on the show. Seeing Kathryn Hahn gleefully do her parts and then enthusiastically ask to do one more take of her cackle showed how much fun the cast was having.
If you want a great look behind the scenes of the show, make sure not to miss Assembled: The Making of WandaVision now showing on Disney+
