I had never played any of the prior games in the series but I looked forward to covering Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD for the PS4.
The game tasks players with controlling an adorable monkey in a ball around a series of increasingly challenging levels to reach a goal.
There are Bananas to grab along the way but the main challenge is avoiding enemies such as birds who will flap their wings to push you over the side and the Boss Battles that will arise.
Players will be able to select from a series of characters to play as and the ability to play as Sonic the Hedgehog has been of great interest to fans once the game was announced.
The game was fairly easy for the first set of levels but became significantly harder after I took down the first boss.
The HD graphics shine and the game runs very smoothly which should make fans very happy. I played on a PS4 Pro and the look and gameplay was instantly captivating.
Some may find the game a bit repetitive as the gameplay does not differ much from level to level and others who have seen my gameplay video have expressed regret that the original music did not appear in the game. However, if you are looking for a fun game that the entire family can enjoy; then look no further than Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD.
