Cirque du Soleil’s Crystal comes to Phoenix!
Cirque’s new show Crystal is coming to Phoenix! This extraordinary new
show will be at the Talking Stick Arena in Phoenix from March 8th through
11th.
Crystal tells the story of a young woman’s journey of self discovery.
Skewed and Reviewed had the opportunity to speak with Fabrice Lemire, the
show’s artistic director.
Mr. Lemire explained that Crystal will be the first time Cirque includes
ice to the show. This introduces a new challenge to the Cirque family of
shows. Previous programs that entertained international audiences with
acrobats and dancers who perform with grace, strength and athleticism, now
adds speed skaters, figure skaters, extreme skaters, freestyle skaters.
There will be acrobats on the ice, skating and skater’s in the air doing
acrobatics.

Guillaume Paquin, one of the lead acrobats in the show, performed a brief,
choreographed, single rope acrobatics piece from Crystal. The fantastic
preview gave us a look at the extraordinary athleticism of Mr. Paquin’s
performance in the show.
Skewed and Reviewed is looking forward to being in the Phoenix audience to
see Cirque du Soleil’s Crystal.
