Recently we had the chance to stay at the Homewood Suites in beautiful Irvine California. The new property is part of the Hilton family of hotels and is located not far from John Wayne Airport and has easy access to Disneyland and several other area attractions.
The spacious lobby was very inviting and had a gas fireplace, plenty of dining space, lounges and areas to rest as well as a complimentary 24 hour coffee service. There is also a store for guests who need a snack or various sundries.
Our check in was very pleasant and we were on our way to our suite in no time at all thanks to two elevators which were on either side of the fitness room and pool area entrances.
With all of the travel we do it is hard to be surprised at times but we were blown away by our room the moment the door opened. We were greeted with a full kitchen complete with a full sized refrigerator, a stove, microwave, sink, and dishware. The front room offered dining table, a casual table, chair and couch as well as a large flat screen television. As impressive as the front room was, the bedroom was even better as a King bed awaited us as well as adjustable reading lamps and another television. The hotel also offered complimentary Wi-Fi which along with over 130 television stations gave us plenty of options.
The room was very clean and our room even had a safe and plenty of space to store our bags which would make it ideal for those who are looking at an extended stay for business or a vacation.
My wife made a comment that the full kitchen offers a great value for guests who do not mind cooking as they can get groceries and save money on dining out. The hotel even offers a shopping service as guests can leave a list of what they need and it will be obtained for them.
The hotel offers a great business center for those who need to get some work completed and there is even a basketball and gaming area. The more we walked around the hotel, the more we were impressed as there were meeting rooms and plenty of areas to relax in which makes the hotel perfect for work and relaxation.
During the week there is a complimentary Happy Hour with various drinks and snacks and a hot breakfast is served daily.
We were treated to scrambled eggs, Ham, French Toast Sticks, Waffles, and potatoes, as well as an array of cereals, baked goods, juices, fruits, oatmeal and more.
We were so impressed with the hotel we deeply regretted that we did not have time to stay longer as there was so much that we wanted to continue to enjoy and several things we would love to experience in the future. Our checkout was very efficient and the staff continued to be wonderful throughout our entire stay. When in the area, make sure to check out the Homewood Suites in Irvine for a great hotel and services with a friendly and efficient staff.
