Good Nite Inn: Redlands CA

We travel to California often for work and family functions and on this trip we were able to fit in both. After three intense and busy days in San Diego covering the San Diego Comic Con, we headed north to see some family before heading home.

My wife suggested that we stay the night near Moreno Valley so we would not have as long a drive in the morning when we did our visit. In area family was out of town so we opted to stay at the Good Nite Inn located in Redlands to get some rest before a quick visit and our drive home.

We have stayed here before and it offers a nice stay for those who do not need or want all the bells and whistles. The venue has a pool but lacks a restaurant, gym, or any of the items offered by a fancier locale. You may see a chip of paint missing here or there and smell the faint aroma of Marijuana in the parking lot as people do come out of their rooms to smoke. But the rooms are clean, comfy and significantly nicer than the Super 8 in the area and similar hotels.

The room did not have microwave, iron, or coffee maker, but there was free WiFi, Cable, and a mini fridge as well as solid water pressure and room that is ideal for relaxing after a long night on the road. The venue offers free parking and coffee in the lobby and does require a $25.00 deposit which is released after your stay. In the end it comes down to value. If you do not need nor want all the bells and whistles and want to save $50+ a night on your stay then this is not as bad choice. There are numerous restaurants and fast food places located near it as well as a gas station and easy access to the I-10 freeway.
