NBA Champ Rick Fox Leads The H1Z1 Invitational Kill Team

Daybreak Games has revealed that the first four seats for the second H1Z1 Invitational at TwitchCon this fall will go to premier North American esports organization Echo Fox. Founded by three-time NBA Champion Rick Fox in December 2015, Echo Fox’s participation in the competition marks the first-ever involvement of a professional esports club in an officially sanctioned H1Z1 event.

Echo Fox will partner with video game world record database Twin Galaxies starting in May through the summer to assemble a team of the four most skilled players to represent them at TwitchCon, based on analysis of multiple H1Z1: King of the Kill leaderboards. Competition is at the core of King of the Kill, and the H1Z1 Invitational is part of an ongoing effort by Daybreak to elevate the quality and prominence of structured organized play, tournaments and more.

H1Z1: King of the Kill is an online multiplayer shooter specializing in fast-paced spectacles of competitive action and skill across large-scale, open battlegrounds. Currently available on Windows PC through Steam Early Access, the game will feature multiple fight-to-the-death game modes of varying rulesets when it officially launches on the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, Xbox One and PC later this year. The inaugural H1Z1 Invitational was the most viewed event at the debut of TwitchCon in 2015, garnering more than 118,000 concurrent viewers and giving away over $173,000 in cash prizing.

More information regarding Echo Fox can be found during today’s livestream announcement at PAX East beginning at 4:45 p.m. ET at Twitch.tv/twitch, as well as on the Echo Fox website: echofox.gg.
