Psyop Games and IllFonic have collaborated on a new team-based, competitive first person shooter, Moving Hazard, set 50 years after the collapse of civilization due to a fast-moving and unstoppable zombie plague. Sounds like you have seen this story/game before? You haven’t. Moving Hazard takes all the elements you have come to expect from team-based competitive first person shooters and adds Zombies. Not just Zombies that attack you, but also Zombies that can be weaponized and manipulated to attack your enemies. The gameplay is swift and fun and there are constant moments of not just running in guns blazing but also thinking about how you approach any objective on the battlefield. It makes for a new element and gameplay to something that seems familiar.
If that is not enough, Moving Hazard also has a deep lore written by co-creator Christian Cantamessa. Cantamessa is best known as the writer of Red Dead Redemption, Manhunt and the feature film Air, which he also directed. Cantamessa tells me that Moving Hazard has a deep lore that is unlocked as you level up in the game. You gain the ability to expand your base of operations and learn things by interacting with other characters in the world who will tell you stories and give you insight to the fall of civilization.
Moving Hazard has all the makings to be a great team based competitive first person shooter that is a quick pick up and play but also grants the opportunity to be deeper for those who seek it out. Be sure to keep your eyes out for Moving Hazard as it hits Steam early access in February.
