The Replacer Return To Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3

For all the times there weren’t enough hours in the day to play the latest Call of Duty game and manage your mundane daily life, “The Replacer” was there for you. He remembers when Call of Duty Black Ops 2 dropped. He was there for you during the release of Call of Duty Black Ops 2’s “Revolution” and “Vengeance” DLC. And now, he’s back in business for the highly-anticipated launch of Call of Duty Black Ops 3’s “Awakening” DLC, coming February 2.

“The Replacer,” a fan favorite character played by Peter Stormare, returns in “The Replacer Returns,” a new film from Activision and 72andSunny, directed by Jason Woliner. Back by popular demand due to a spike in the replacement business from the release of “Awakening,” “The Replacer” reemerges to handle fans’ daily duties so they can explore the four new maps and fight insane zombies in the new Black Ops 3 DLC pack. The Replacer argues that no task is too big or too small, as he steps into fans’ lives, applying for jobs, walking their dogs, and even filling in for Marshawn Lynch at a post-game press conference.

“Since his first appearance in 2013, Call of Duty fans have loved The Replacer,” said Todd Harvey, SVP, Global Consumer Marketing at Activision. “The Replacer speaks to Call of Duty fans’ experiences and feelings during a game launch, so it only made sense that he’d come back for ‘Awakening.’”

“The Replacer is one of the most beloved characters we’ve created,” said Glenn Cole, Chief Creative Officer at 72andSunny. “So now that Black Ops is back, we decided it was time for him to return. And we had a blast doing it.”
