During our coverage of San Diego Comic Con we got the chance to attend the Z Nation Panel which was attended by the cast and Producers. The show runs on SyFy and details the aftermath of a Zombie outbreak.
What makes this show different from the usual Zombie offerings is the way the show deftly combines drama and humor with complex characters each with their own quirks and backstory.
The show centers around a group of survivors who must take a man across the country to a lab in California as his blood may hold the key to finding a cure to the plague since he was injected by an experimental serum and bitten repeatedly by Zombies without showing any side effects.
The group combines an eclectic and eccentric bunch ranging from a young man obsessed with killing 10,000 Zombies and keeping count of his running totals to a Drug addled hippie known as Doc. Of course there are love interests, dark pasts, and all sorts of dangers as the group is guided by Citizen Z (DJ Qualls) who is isolated in a remote but high-tech artic base.
The cast took questions ranging from potential love interests to what would happen if 10K lost track of his running count.
The show is preparing for the new Season on Syfy this Friday and if Amish Zombies and Death by Liberty Bell is something you want to see with your dose of Undead, then check out Z-Nation.
