Alright, so acouple weeks back I went to Momocon a convention in the land of the Peach, so get ready to drink coca cola and take an extra 5 hours to find a parking space. Momocon was an amazing experience, there were tons of creative cosplay, fighting games, and sweet Korean candy that came in paper bags. Unfortunately I couldn’t get inside panels as I couldn’t find where they gave away the media passes (My bad). However on the flip side I did buy things and play fighting games, The two main halls were really huge, one hall was got gaming and the other was for purchasing things. I mainly played fighting games such as Under Night, Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax, an indie game known as ‘Elemensional Heroes’ and Smash bros wii u, hopefully we’ll get copies of these games to review with you guys.
Again I couldn’t find the area to get the media passes so I couldn’t get inside panels like I wanted too, but I got tons of pictures and acouple videos of my time. I went with my girlfriend and we played Smash bros till our hearts content. Around us were arcade games, new games, tournaments and more. We met tons of people including ProJared from YouTube and Nostalgia Critic also from YouTube, they were great, I also connected with a few friends. They helped me purchase things such as a 5$ bag full of random anime which included Ranma, Legend of the Condor Hero and Battle of the planets, and the best part is I bought a PlayStation 1 for 15$. I bought some games for the PlayStation on Amazon which I’ll definitely get too later on the site such as Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2, Megaman 8, and more
Oh and how could I forget the cosplay, there were so many based on cartoon network characters from the show Steven Universe. There were a lot more colorful cosplayers compared to Dragoncon last year. I even saw steampunk Mario bros. I wish I would’ve gotten a picture of this Ninja Sex Party cosplay but I was too far away that’s my biggest regret from my whole Momocon experience. The entire convention was a lot more entertaining than I thought it would be and I’m glad I got to go (w/ my girlfriend) and I had a blast meeting all the new people, catching up with old friends and hanging out with all the other nerds. Hopefully I’ll be able to go to bigger conventions with the rest of the Skewed crew in the future!
