Alright, I’ve been a fan of the fallout series for quite sometime I started at Fallout 2 and went back to the original Fallout and so on and so forth. Now before we even hop on my reaction of Fallout 4 or even mentioning it you have to ask yourself ‘what all do you know about Fallout?’ Well *Spoiler Alert for those who don’t follow the Fallout story* Fallout is a game that takes place in an apocalyptic 50s ‘nuclear scare’ environment it’s hard to get into detail about what the government is doing or the debatable topic whether or not there is a government at all. The first game was a sort of point and click style and same goes for Fallout 2 but 3 was when Bethesda decided to change the entire series for the better paving the way game developers incorporate story into a huge world, sure you can say The Elder Scrolls series or the Grand Theft Auto series have a huge world and story but be honest who actually played these games for the story? Not to say that’s necessarily a bad thing though. However looking at this from a developer standpoint this can however not engage the player in the game if the story isn’t at least a little bit decent.
In 2008, the stars aligned and with it Fallout 3 was released and that game was just perfect in all the right ways. I wasn’t born when the first couple 2D Legend of Zelda games were released but I kinda know how the fans felt when it shifted into the 3D perspective (I am fully aware that the first two Fallout games were sorta 3D but not really it has a pre rendered feel to it) , it’s a wonderful feel and just makes a game feel brand new in a way while keeping the same magic from the original games When you first boot the game you’re coming out of your mom’s womb and it’s so bananas because I’ve never seen anything of the sort, and I can’t even get started on the graphics and music the point is ‘Fallout 3’ was an outstanding experience and if you’ve never played it I highly recommend it. I don’t really talk about about Fallout New Vegas it was fairly decent game that’s all I can really say however it did have a nice and colorful environment at night and the atmosphere were really well executed.
Now on to the Fallout 4 reactions, ‘meh’ I’m definitely gonna play it being a longtime fan of the Fallout franchise. Before I get out the positive I’m gonna get the negatives out the way, the graphics look the same as they did so many years ago and most people can agree it doesn’t it look decent but other than that it sure as hell is a great trailer. You didn’t get so much detail preceding to the game and that’s good Bethesda doesn’t wanna spoil the entire game in a trailer Rumors spread around awhile ago that Guillermo del Toro’s studio made the trailer and I’m not really sure if that’s true but if it is I can really see the theatrical comparison. As for what happens in the trailer *Spoiler alert for the trailer* it’s a dog running as it transitions from flashbacks (Pre atom bombs) to present apocalyptic world (Post atom bombs) also happening is narration about war and how it never changes (fun little throwback to the past games) and you see a Paul Revere statue which means this installment takes place in Boston, you see a Brotherhood of Steel soldier as well then vault 111 opens and out comes the protagonist which is you. There’s nothing much more to it, hopefully we’ll see more at E3 in a couple days. If anything else happens I’ll update you guys as soon as possible.
