NVIDIA has priced the versatile and powerful GTX 960 video card series at a great price for gamers making it the ideal card for those looking to upgrade to top level gaming at an affordable price.

The final pricing for GTX 960 starts at $199 USD

In comparison, the GTX 760 MSRP on introduction was $249, and the GTX 660 was $229. And with 2X the performance/power efficiency, the GTX 960 is the perfect upgrade path for those millions of users who are still gaming on the GTX 660 today. It’s also a great overclocker out of the box too!

Our board partners will be offering a wide variety of GTX 960 SKUs for sale on Thursday morning. EVGA, Gigabyte, and Zotac will even be offering OC models priced at $199 on launch day. Please confirm final pricing with our AIC partners or check your favorite etailer on Thursday morning.

We realize there are a number of graphics cards available around this price point, however, the GeForce GTX 960 is the only one to offer the trifecta of performance, pricing, and power efficiency along with many new features that haven’t been available in this segment before, including:

  • Support for next-generation Microsoft DirectX technology
  • Support for MFAA, which offers improved performance over traditional MSAA; and VXGI, which provides hardware acceleration for real-time global illumination
  • Support for HDMI 2.0 and H.265 encode/decode
  • Lower operating temps and power consumption (120W TDP), including partner boards that can run 100% silently under certain gaming workloads

    Reasonable pricing.
It completely blows a PS4 away in many games benchmarks e.g., so this is definitely a wise purchase for the mid range minded PC gamer.
