Kingston Hyper X Cloud Headphones

Kingston has long been known for quality storage devices and memory so when they announced they were expanding into gaming headsets, I was very curious to see what they would come up with.
At PAX Prime 2013, I got a chance to see some of the units and they looked to me like a variation on the StreelSeries Siberia sets and I was informed that it is indeed developed along those lines.
As time goes on we get the new Hyper X Cloud unit which is based on Qpad QH 90 design.

The stylish unit is light in weight yet durable and has a retractable microphone as well as a volume regulator and mute switch.

The unit not only works with the PC but can be used for the PS 4, and mobile devices which further enhances the value of the unit.

Usually this is the point in tech reviews where readers are flooded with stats about the range of audio and the various specifications. While this is all very impressive on paper, the proof is in the sound as I can tell you about one pop culture based headset that is all the rage yet offers poor quality sound compared to others on the market.

Suffice it to say that the audio quality is first rate and it was tested on gaming ranging from Wolfenstein the New Order to The Elder Scrolls Online and Call of Duty: Ghosts. In music, speech, and weapons fire, the unit produced impressive sound over and over.

In desktop applications the unit also produced superior sound when used to listen to music and movies making it a solid and ideal all around unit.

The ear cups were comfy as the foam fitted well, although they did get a bit warm after repeated used but to be fair, not everyone is using them for long sessions in a warm climate.

The plus side of this is that they do a great job of helping to eliminate the outside noises to give users a greater level of immersion in their audio.

The unit performed very well and combined with its sleek look and comfortable use, makes this a great purchase for gamers looking for a solid and versatile unit.
