Aside from a quickly emptied pallet of them at Costco this is the first time I have seen a Playstation 4 unit in the store. A Target in Chandler, AZ. had 7 units between two display cases. There were roughly 12 Xbox One units available. We have tracked PS 4 units in San Diego, Seattle, Phoenix, Las Vegas, and San Francisco and aside from the Costco in AZ, this is the first units we have found at retail since launch in the PHX Market.
It looks like supplies are starting to catch up to demand for the PS 4 in the wake of the launch of Infamous: Second Son.
It is reported that Sony can manufacturer 1.4 million units a month but that demand is running at about 1.7 million units a month.
In the weeks leading up to E3 where both sides will be dropping their latest games and features on an eager public as they head to the all important Holiday Season.
