PR reps in multiple markets have confimed to us the new Keanu Reeves film “47 Ronin”, will not be screening for the press.
The film is set to open on Christmas Day and looked to be an action packed film. One has to wonder what is behind the lack of screeners as this usually indicates a film the studio is trying to hide from a swarm of negative reviews.
L.A. and N.Y. appear to be the only markets to see the film as when we contacted reps in Las Vegas, Seattle, Phoenix and other markets that we cover, we were told the film was not screening in advance. The e-mail below was sent to us when we asked about it for two markets covered by the same p.r. firm.
