Have a spare 3 seconds? Tend to agree with our reviews? Good. Because I’m going to
ask you for a favor.
The nominees for the People’s Choice Awards are out and I’d like you to get onto
that site to vote. But first a little preamble.
You know that it’s pretty rare that any us here give out a rating of 4.5 stars to
the movies that come out these days because a lot of them, well, just aren’t that
great. So when a flick finally comes out that we love, we geek out about it and get
excited. We write our reviews carefully and when the movie is really cleverly
crafted, we even hold ourselves back to spare you from spoilers so that when you do
go out and see it, you’ll be able to enjoy it to the fullest. Heck, we even urge you
to see it. Like we did with JJ Abrams’ Star Trek: Into Darkness.
And if I know you readers, you did go to see it. And you loved that movie as much as
we did. Well, fellow fans, that film is up for the People’s Choice Award “Favorite
Movie” category and according to odds makers at Sports Betting Dime, it has the
second worst odds of winning. Yep. Take a second to let that travesty sink in.
Now that you are good and grieving, go do something about it. Get onto the People’s
Choice Awards site and vote. Then go to work and vote again. Then vote from your
cell phone for good measure. And finally, if you’re a die hard fan like me, you’ll
borrow your wife’s phone and do the same.
Voting closes at 11:59PM EST on December 5th.
