Looking for a fun show to go to this week? Try making your way down to the Showbox at the Market in Seattle Wednesday night to check out 3Oh!3. This pop duo from Boulder, CO (i.e., area code 303) was formed in 2004 by Sean Foreman and Nathaniel Motte. Their recording debut came in 2007, with a follow up in 2008 and a third album in 2008. While their music is fantastic, the group is famed for their live performances, including being a featured band in the Vans Warped Tour in 2008. They’re back this year with a new album, titled Omens, and doing what they do best in touring the nation to share their new sounds with you.
Accompanying 3Oh!3 is the Summer Set, a Scottsdale, AZ band featuring co-founders (and brothers) John and Stephen Gomez and guitarist John Montgomery, drummer Jess Bowen and vocalist Brian Dales. Named after the town Somerset, NJ (they literally opened an atlas to get this one), and inspired by Arizona’s local musical offerings (I.e., Jimmy Eat World and the Format), they took to composing their own emo-pop songs. The group officially debuted in 2009, after its members graduated high school.
So make your way to the Showbox at the Market, this Wednesday, November 20, 2013, for a fun, all ages show with 3Oh!3, the Summer Set and New Beat Fund. Tickets are $23.50 at the door (or you can still get advanced tickets for $21.50. The show starts at 7:15 PM, doors at 6:30. See you there.
