For me this is truly been a golden age of television as there are so many quality shows available that even with the great versatility that the DVR allows, we do at times Ms. shows forcing us to catch up when they make it a home video. One such show is American Horror Story which in my opinion, provide stories and characters every bit if not so more compelling than those found on The Walking Dead and also provides scares that greatly surpass anything found on television and in most films.
The second season of the show American Horror Story: Asylum has arrived on Blu-ray and DVD from 20th Century Fox and stars Jessica Lange, Zachary Quinto, and James Cromwell and a brand-new storyline set in an insane asylum. The story of the Harmon family which compelled first season of the show does not play into the new setting as this is a new anthology of psychological and physical terrors that will have you up at night as well as on the edge of your seat.
Season 2 Takes Pl. in the Briarcliffe mental institution where everything from alien abduction to demonic possession are in play as is a skin wearing psychopath known as “Bloody Face”,
The picture and sound quality on the 13 episode second season are sharp and will keep you on edge due to the creep factor of the show. I was amazed by the high quality of the show and it is easy to see why the series has enjoyed 17 Emmy nominations to date.
Deleted scenes and behind the scenes features are included which makes this a perfect set for horror fans and for your Halloween parties.
