“Mad Men” and “Buffy” writer/producer Marti Noxon is set to pen the remake of 80’s cult vampire horror comedy “Fright Night” for Dreamworks Pictures says The Hollywood Reporter.
The original followed a young guy (William Ragsdale) who discovers that his new next door neighbour (Chris Sarandon) is a vampire and seeks the help of his girlfriend (Amanda Bearce) and a washed up elderly actor turned B-movie TV host (Roddy McDowall) star to help stop the creature.
The new version is expected to keep the same tone as the original but will update the visual effects.
