Steve Carr (“Paul Blart: Mall Cop,” “Daddy Day Care”) has signed on to direct the “Short Circuit” remake for Dimension Films says Variety.
Dan Milano (“Robot Chicken”) is adapting the script about a robot named Johnny 5 which is built by the military to be a highly sophisticated weapon.
Johnny however develops a conscience and personality after being hit by lightning and befriends a lonely boy and his fractured family.
