Anne Hathaway, Neil Patrick Harris and Rodrigo Santoro have joined the voice cast of “Rio” for Blue Sky Studios and Fox Animation says The Hollywood Reporter.
The 3-D digital animated feature centers on a nerdy macaw who leaves the comforts of his cage in small-town Minnesota and heads to Rio de Janeiro.
Carlos Saldanha (“Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs”) is directing the project which Chris Jenkins and Bruce Anderson are producing. The film opens April 2011.
