Dreamworks Pictures has scored the film rights to Nancy Holder and Debbie Viguie’s five-book young adult novel series “Wicked” says the trades.
The story centres on a young woman who learns she is a descendant of a powerful coven of witches.
Complications arise when she falls in love with a boy who turns out to be a member of a rival coven.
Brothers Aaron and Matthew Benay (“1906”) will pen the adaptation. The last book in the series was published this past Summer.
