Profile Is A Tense Thriller Audiences Will Not Forget

Based on a real story that was inspired by news reports, “Profile” is a gripping thriller that will hold your attention to the very end. Valene Kane stars as Amy; an English reporter who decides to set up a false online profile and persona in an effort to do a story on the recruitment of Western Women by what the media has labeled Extremists Groups.

In no time Amy is contacted by a person she believes is a recruiter and engages in a series of video chats with the man known as Bilel (Shazad Latif). As their conversations become more frequent; Amy finds the lines between her life, new persona, and assignment becoming blurred; especially when the conversation includes requests to travel overseas and proposals.

What follows is a very tense thriller that will engage and keep audiences guessing as to what is to come next. The film is done from the perspective of a computer screen similar to “Unfriended” and various texts and video chats are used to weave the supporting cast in and out of the ongoing narrative.

In order to maintain the suspense of the film: I am refraining from doing a longer review as this is one film that is best left for audiences to experience and react to accordingly.

The film made its debut in 2018 and is getting a U.S. release this week and provides for an informative and engaging viewing experience you will not forget.
