Second Extinction Claims 50,000 Sales In Early Access

The game is lots of fun despite some glitches and gamers seem to be taking note.

Systemic Reaction, a creative division of Avalanche Studios Group, is happy to report its new online co-op FPS Second Extinction sold over 50,000 copies in its first two weeks launching on PC via Steam Early Access. And now they’ve got a new trailer showing off some of the community’s most impressive triumphs, fails and more!

“Thank you so much for playing Second Extinction! The whole team is super hyped to see over 50,000 people join us on this adventure. We love your reaction to the game and want to ask you all to keep the feedback rolling in,” said Brynley Gibson, lead producer at Systemic Reaction. “We are hearing some cool ideas, and it is a huge help to get feedback about what you love and what you love less. To have such an engaged community has made developing this game all the more worthwhile and really energizes us to make it even better!”

Second Extinction pits teams of up to three players against hordes of bloodthirsty dinos in fast-paced battles across Earth’s vast wastelands. Gear up with a wide range of powerful weapons and fight alone or with friends against monstrous predators long thought extinct — now mutated and deadlier than ever!

The Second Extinction team has been fighting its own good battle with regular hotfixes and patches to squash bugs and improve the multiplayer experience, all based on community feedback. As early access continues, players will continue to get free updates featuring new weapons, challenges, dino mutations, War Effort emergence events and more. You can keep track of new content and features coming in the future with the game’s updated development roadmap.

Second Extinction is also in development for Xbox Series X and Xbox One. For more info, visit www.SecondExtinctionGame.com, and follow @2nd_Extinction on Twitter.
