With the NFL season kicking off tomorrow, some of the biggest names in the game are trying out a new sport – hockey! Odell Beckham Jr., JJ Watt, Patrick Mahomes, Drew Brews, Juhu Smith-Schuster and Russell Wilson are taking to the ice as playable characters in Ultimate Rivals: The Rink, an arcade-style hockey video game available on Apple Arcade.
The game was created by Bit Fry Game Studios, the first company to ever create a new, officially licensed sports gaming franchise that features star athletes from all the major sports leagues. You might have thought a huge developer (such as an EA) would have been the first to do this, but it is Bit Fry.
Bit Fry has secured groundbreaking licensing agreements with 10 major professional sports organizations, hockey, baseball, basketball (mens and womens) and most recently secured a license with the NFL Players Association.
In Ultimate Rivals: The Rink, you can team up LeBron James, Mike Trout, Alex Ovechkin against Alex Morgan, Clayton Kershaw and Mookie Betts for super fun, fast-paced hockey action.
