Alder’s Blood

Alder’s Blood

With humanity on the brink of extinction, the world has fallen into chaos without its God. Few people, if any, are safe from the horrors of this reality, leaving it up to the Hunter’s to protect those who cannot protect themselves. Set in a Victorian-esque Wild West, Alder’s Blood brings a multitude of enemies that the player must defeat in this stealthy turn-based strategy game. When it comes to combat, there are many things that can change your outcome. While the game does focus heavily on stealth, you will quickly learn that that doesn’t just include your enemies cone of vision. Just as in the real world, there are more senses than just sight, more senses for you to be aware of, we are dealing with monsters of course. Coupled with their heightened sense of smell and enhanced hearing, one must always be on the lookout for how the wind blows and if that first shot is truly worth it.

Featuring beautiful artwork that is complemented by an equally rich storyline, Alder’s Blood does a good job in creating an environment where the player will have no issue getting into their characters mindset. The UI was easy to use and not overly complicated which made the game more enjoyable and should make it approachable to those of various skill levels. Along with combat, your characters will be able to craft an array of weapons, charms, consumables and more.

Overall I would have to say that for those who enjoy strategy games this is definitely one you will want to check out in the near future.
