March 2020 Activities At SeaWorld San Diego

Looks like more great stuff for those going to San Diego and SeaWorld to enjoy.

SEAWORLD’S SEVEN SEAS TO SET SAIL WITH 30+ NEW FOOD ITEMS: Epicurean adventurers can go on a culinary voyage around the world without ever leaving SeaWorld, as the marine park’s Seven Seas Craft Beer & Food Festival sets sail!  With more than 45 food items (including 32 new this year), four new countries to explore, 150 beer options, nearly a dozen wine varietals and live entertainment on three stages, San Diego’s premier food festival launches March 7 and sails on for nine weekends through May 3. All that one needs for this gastronomic trip are admission to SeaWorld and an appetite as big as the ocean! Food and beer samples can be purchased a la carte with food samples ranging from $5 to $7.50 each, or with a Food and Drink Sampler card. The 10-item card is $52 and the 15-item card is $67.

DOLPHIN AWARENESS MONTH:  March is Dolphin Awareness Month, but really every day at SeaWorld is about dolphins! At Dolphin Amphitheater, the high-energy Dolphin Days show combines high-flying dolphin and pilot whale behaviors with a close-up look at the relationship SeaWorld trainers have with the animals. At Dolphin Point, guests can encounter dolphins in a number of different ways: during dolphin connections, trainers interact with the dolphins, as guests around the ledge of the pool get in on the fun and become part of the action while learning about these amazing marine mammals; for an even more personal experience with dolphins, guests can reserve a Dolphin Encounter, a 10-minute, trainer-guided experience from the ledge of the pool during which guests are guaranteed to touch, feed and help train bottlenose dolphins, while also learning about their natural history, conservation and training. And for those who want to enter the watery world of dolphins, there’s the Dolphin Interaction Program, where guests reserve the opportunity to take a dip in the animals’ habitat and learn about these amazing cetaceans as well as feed, touch and even cue the animals for trained behaviors (DIP participants must be at least 50 inches tall). EXTENDED HOURS PLUS FIREWORKS : On Saturday and Sunday, March 14–15, SeaWorld will be open late and the park will close with a bang! Park hours on Saturday March 14 will be 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., with a spectacular fireworks show at 8 p.m. On Sunday, the SeaWorld will stay open until 7:30 p.m., with fireworks closing out the night.

IT PAYS TO BE A PASS MEMBER:  Being a SeaWorld Pass Member comes with its perks: In addition to receiving 12 months of unlimited visits, free parking, priority access to Emperor (the tallest, fastest, longest and only floorless dive coaster on the West Coast), merchandise and dining discounts, there are also special limited-time perks throughout the year. And, in honor of Dolphin Awareness Month in March, Pass Members can purchase a dolphin and baby plush set for only $10 (with a $20 purchase at the Dolphin Treasures gift shop). And here’s one more great benefit coming up: Pass Members can take advantage of an exclusive offer to receive 18 samples for the price of 15 during SeaWorld’s Seven Seas Craft Beer & Food Festival! Seven Seas—with more than 40 food items, 150 beer options, four new regional realms including a German beer garden, nearly a dozen wine varietals and live entertainment on three stages—kicks off March 7 and continues on weekends through May 3, 2020.
