Saenger Theatre New Orleans

New Orleans Has long been associated with great music and food which makes it a popular and celebrated destination for many travelers and locals.

While Jazz is commonly associated with the city; there are numerous artistic and cultural offerings provided in New Orleans to offer something for everyone.

One such local is the Saenger Theatre New Orleans which offers a variety of cultural offerings ranging from concerts to plays as well as numerous events throughout the year.

Located along historic Canal Street; the 4000 seat theatre opened in 1927 and has become a beloved destination ever since.

The theatre has seen many renovations over the years including one brought on by Hurricane Katrina but it has endured no matter the challenges it faces. The Saenger also features a 2000 pipe organ.

The variety of offerings featured are vast as shows from Wicked to performances by Jerry Seinfeld are among the numerous offerings the theatre has offered over the years including a popular run of the Broadway smash The Lion King.

Aside from the rich beauty and history of the venue it has become a beloved tradition amongst the locals and theatre enthusiasts and as such; it has been added to the Historical Preservation lists which helps ensure that future generations will be able to enjoy this New Orleans Legacy.
