Activision Blizzard just wrapped its 2018 Q4 results call, so I wanted to follow up with some of the key news regarding Call of Duty (check out the webcast here starting at 32:40):
- Our biggest and best in-game event for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is launching on Feb. 19, with significant updates across all modes.
- This fall, fans can look forward to another major launch for the franchise featuring an entirely new campaign, a huge and expansive multiplayer world, and some fun co-op gameplay.
- The game will appeal broadly to both existing and new fans, and is poised to mark a great step forward in the franchise that is also rooted in some of the franchise’s most important history.
- The Activision Blizzard team will also build on their experience with the Overwatch League to launch a professional, city-based Call of Duty league that drives franchise engagement.
