SteelSeries Arctis Pro

SteelSeries has long been known for quality gaming products and have reached a new level of performance and quality with the Arctis Pro headset. The headset is available in a traditional and wireless version and also works with the PS4 systems as well.

The design is very familiar to anyone who knows the Arctis line but what separates this headset from all others on the market is that it is the first audio gaming system to feature a Hi-Res Audio Certification from the Japanese Audio Society
This means that the system can receive process and play Hi-Res formats in conjunction with the Game Dac device which allows users to set and adjust sound levels.

This feature works best with movies and music that is designed for the Hi-res outputs put it also enhances gaming audio and allows gamers to have a headset that will be able to take advantage of audio improvements as the industry looks to offer higher quality sound options.

I reviewed the wired unit with the Dac and we have a staff member looking over the wireless currently.

The unit is comfortable and secure and can be adjusted to a desired fit thanks to the adjustable headband. The headset also features a retractable microphone which performed very well in test with gaming, broadcasting, and chats sessions.

Using the SteelSeries Engine 3 software, I was easily able to adjust audio and lighting setting and I also had the Dac to adjust volume and settings which in conjunction with the audio wheel on the headset, gave me a lot of quality options.

I played through games such as Far Cry 5, Earthfall, and EA Star Wars Battlefront 2 on the unit and others and found that not only was my sound quality first-rate, it was a very comfy fit during extended gaming sessions.

The headset is a very impressive unit and it is not only stylish and versatile, but it provides a superior level of sound quality. It will be interesting to see if the gaming industry responds by creating more offerings that can take advantage of the Hi-Res sound capability but I can tell you that music and movies that feature this option sound simply amazing.
