LOS ANGELES, CA (April 27, 2018) – JASON LILES, who broke out this month as the newest feature film “star to watch” opposite Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as his best friend, ‘George,’ in the box office giant “Rampage,” currently at $283 million gross worldwide, has signed for a pivotal role in Legendary Entertainment’s monster-verse sequel, Godzilla: King of Monsters, as “King Ghidorah.”

Liles, who came to the industry’s attention after his debut role in “Men in Black III” winning legions of high-level fans including seven-time Oscar®-winning Rick Baker, has been singled out as one of the best performance capture actors (and the youngest) to enter  the blockbuster motion picture arena alongside Andy Serkis and Doug Jones. Liles won the role of Godzilla’s archenemy, ‘King Ghidorah’ from director Mike Dougherty, whom Liles originally met with four years ago to portray the title character of ‘Krampus’ in Dougherty’s 2015 film.  Jason role goes hand-in-hand with Godzilla’s Oscar-winning VFX supervisor Guillaume Rocheron (Life of Pi).

The film, which remains tight-lipped on its plot, is the next chapter in Warner Bros. Pictures’ and Legendary’s cinematic MonsterVerse: an epic action adventure that pits Godzilla against some of the most popular monsters in pop culture history. ‘King Ghidorah’ is a kaiju film monster that has golden-scaled wings and three heads. Liles plays the middle head, while Alan Maxson is the right head and Richard Dorton is the left head in the epic action-adventure film.

Directed by Michael Dougherty from a screenplay he penned with Zach Shields, Warner Bros. will release the mega blockbuster with the solid starring roster including  Millie Bobbie Brown (“Stranger Things”), Vera Farmiga (“The Departed”), O’Shea Jackson (“Straight Outta Compton”), Sally Hawkins (“Shape of Water”), Thomas Middleditch (“The Wolf  of Wall Street”) and Bradley Whitford (“West Wing” alumni) on March 22, 2019.

Jason Liles, represented by the Agency for the Performing Arts  and Integrated PR, is also in talks for two additional major feature film franchises which begin shooting this summer and fall.
