Crystal: Cirque du Soliel

By Gareth and Genevieve

The world famous Cirque du Soliel brought  their latest arena show “Crystal” to Phoenix this weekend and wowed a packed Talking Stick Arena with a  show that combines the costumes, humor, music, acrobatics, and theatrics that the company is known for with lavish ice spectacular.

The show is the 42nd production from the company and the first time that they have used ice as a setting. Very soon after the show started the audience learned that the ice was just as much a part of the story as any of the characters and the dramatic lighting and music set the stage well for the spectacle that followed.

As Cirque du Soleil is known to do, a clown got the audience started before the show with the help of a trio of amazing musicians as he worked the crowd with some effective humor punctuated by throwing snowballs into the crowd and at some members of the cast who were on the ice, setting the tone for what was to come.

The story of a young girl named Crystal unfolds on and above the ice as the cast of skaters and acrobats unleashed a frenzy of amazing feats of skill, strength and grace to the delight of the packed audience at Talking Stick Arena.

The ice skating provided a winning mix of grace and speed as the skaters glided around the ice and at times over and around obstacles. There were some very impressive fusions of aerial and acrobatic acts which merged with skating to create a unique and winning combination.

I really enjoyed an amazing high speed segment with extreme skaters who performed precision skating as well as amazing leaps around a series of ramps and jumps.

The show also featured some segments of amazing beauty where performers worked with one another in some gracefully, tender sequences. One such passionate performance was set to a rendition of Sia’s “Chandelier”, which has to be seen to be believed.

The show concluded with a very satisfying finale as well as a great moment with the entire cast coming onto the ice to the standing ovation and rousing cheers of the audience. The performers rewarded us with some spectacular formations and stunts to say goodnight. It was an amazing display of so much talent, color, music and energy that captured the night perfectly.

Crystal will be at the Talking Stick Arena in Phoenix through March 11th and then will perform in Tucson at the Convention Center from March 14th-18th

This was one big Illuminati symbolism party. The story is about a girl who breaks under MK ultra style triggering. Duality, numerology the whole bag.
