Will Sony’s Impressive Playstation 4 And PSVR Bundles Dominate The Holiday Shopping Season

With Black Friday rapidly approaching and our Holliday Gift Guides just about set to debut, we have been flooded with multiple products that will be available for consumers during the all-important shopping season.

One of the more interesting options we were presented with was from Sony who have multiple bundle options available. What is even more interesting to me is that the bundles range from the standard PS4 systems to the PS4 Pro system as well as the PSVR hardware. While Sony has dominated the console market with the PS4 system, they have seen Nintendo have strong sales of their Nintendo Switch system and a recent launch of the Xbox One X system by Microsoft.

With that in mind, here is a look at some of the options that will be available to buyers from Sony this Holiday Season.

PSVR The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

$349.99 vs $449.99

PSVR DOOM Bundle

Available beginning December 1 $399.99

Limited Edition STAR WARS™ Battlefront™ II PlayStation 4 Pro Bundle –

$449.99

Limited Edition Call of Duty: WWII PlayStation 4 Bundle $299.99

PlayStation VR Gran Turismo Sport Bundle – Starting at $299.99

(MSRP), regularly $399.99

What is interesting about the sets is that Sony has some like the Battlefront 2 sets available for both the PS4 and PS4 Pro which gives gamers more options. The multiple bundles for the PSVR shows that not only are their exciting new releases for the system but seems to indicate that Sony is firmly behind the hardware and will have plenty of new releases coming in the future as was evident by their recent reveals at Paris Games Week and once can expect even more coming up with the pending Playstation Experience in Anaheim.

Bundles offer a great option for consumers as they allow some great savings as in many cases, you can get the hardware and a game for less than the cost of the hardware alone.

With Black Friday deals at Target and Best Buy reportedly having $199.99 base PS4 units as a door buster, the systems will likely be in high-demand this Holiday Season especially when you factor in the large number of games available and the huge amount of titles that will be coming in 2018 and beyond as well as numerous exclusives such as God of War, Detroit: Become Human, The Last of Us 2, and many more.

Only time will tell how the consumer market will respond especially with Nintendo Switch making very strong sales and the launch of the Xbox One X, buy it seems clear that Sony is not going to relinquish its hold on the console market anytime soon and the impressive lineup of holiday options will certainly give consumers and gamers plenty of shopping and wish list options.
