New Crash Bandicoot Trailer

Activision announced today that Simon Davidian and Kirsty Capes from the UK have won the Crash Bandicoot™ N. Sane Trilogy Idle Animation Contest. Their “Crash Wumpa Volley” submission was selected by teams at Activision and Vicarious Visions as the winning idle animation — the movement Crash makes when the player is “idling” or not moving the controller.

Activision kicked off the social contest on March 24 and asked fans to submit their own idle animations for a chance to get their idea put into the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy. While the existing idles include Crash playing with a yoyo, doing several dance moves and making a few other quirky animations, the teams at Activision and Vicarious Visions were amazed by the wide range of ideas that came from fans in enormous quantities. In the less than two-week period that the contest ran, several thousand submissions were collected on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, making for an extremely difficult yet fun selection process for the selection committee!

Judging based on uniqueness, relativity to Crash and creativity of submission, the team ultimately selected Simon and Kirsty’s “Crash Wumpa Volley” submission.
