Is The Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 Beta A Good Thing Or Fuel For Fatigue And Detractors?

When I first saw Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 at E3, I was impressed as it seems that the series is moving along well, not playing it safe, and striving to give gamers something new that still stays true to the series.

This remained through my first playtest at E3 and during my early sessions with the PS 4 beta even though I am horrible at playing shooters on the console after a lifetime of mouse and keyboarding my way through them.

I posted some early gameplay video from the Beta and was amazed that some people commented via syndication that they liked the new screens but that the gameplay seemed like the same thing as previous games and those they had diminished excitement for the game.

This struck me as odd as surely a bit of gameplay from a multiplay Beta is hardly enough to say a game is more of the same, but for some, it seems that a fatigue has enveloped them regarding the series as a game a year plus four DLC packs has given gamers a glut of Call of Duty for several years in a row now.

I think the move to release a Beta for the game was a very bold move that rewards fans of the series and those who pre-order but I also wonder if it gives those who were on the fence or dismissive of the series more ammunition to vent in the months leading up to release.

There is no doubt the game will sell very well, but will early Beta access ahead of the release hurt the game or help it in the long run?

The release date is locked in and while feedback will be huge to developers in terms of tweaks and fixes, it is too late for any major changes and with online play being such a huge part of the Call of Duty Experience, will Beta access be too much of a good thing for some and more of the same to detractors?

One thing is for certain, the game is going to be huge and as such we have a few PS 4 Beta keys available which you can get by contacting us via the site’s contact us area.
