Dying Light Gameplay Video Shows Lag And Frame Stuttering Issues

You would think that an I7 Quad core, 8GB of DDR3 RAM and a 2GB NVIDIA series graphics card would be enough to run the game since it is over the suggested specs. The opening parts and training ran well but then we had this issue. Dropping textures is the next step but sad that it has to be done on a system well over suggested specs.

(Updated: Via Techland and some readers, the game has issues with anything higher than an NVIDIA 650 card for those on NVIDA. They suggest dropping graphics to medium and turning off the NVIDIA DOF in the in game video options menu. I have done this and have seen a marked improvement in play with no real drop in graphical quality).

  1. Just disable NVIDIA DoF and then the game runs much smoother.. If i enable it i get 5-10 secs freezes and some massive lag everytime the game loads a checkpoint…

I think there is something wrong…. i have never read of this. Maybe your graphics card or your ram is defective.

Thank you. I talked with Techland and took your advice and it is doing better now. Techland said it is a known issue with any NVIDIA card over a 650Ti.
