Legends Of The Knight

To say that Batman has become a Pop Culture mainstay and force would be a massive understatement. From the early days of the comic to the campy 60s television show, the animated Super Friends, and then the highly popular film series, new legions of fans joined the old guard to take the Caped Crusader to all new levels.

With the pending release of a new Batman game and a new film featuring Batman, a documentary film has been released which explores the impact of the character today.

In Legends of the Knight by Brett Culp Films, we are introduced to several people who have taken their love for and inspiration from Batman and used to make the lives of others better.

One individual patrols the most dangerous areas of his community to keep children safe and talks about his rise from an officer on patrol to a gang task force leader who has been dubbed “The Batman” by those in his community for his efforts.

One inspiring individual is a master musician and dancer despite being born with only one leg and three fingers on one of his hands. His message as that like Bruce Wayne, you can use a diversity to do good things with your life.

Lenny Robinson was a real inspiration as he spends over $30,000 of his own money each year to travel to hospitals all over the nation to visit sick children while dressed as Batman. Robinson had success in business, and based on his love for Batman, he had an urge to give back and try to make the lives of others in need better.

All through the film we are introduced to people from all walks of life who share their touching stories and how through their love of Batman they have found strength, inspiration, and the ability to fight on for a better tomorrow.

The film has some very emotional moments but never becomes overly maudlin or sentimental; as it balances the tales with the ability to show how people can find strengths they never knew they had often in the most difficult situations.

If you are a fan of Batman or even just good human interest stories, I strongly encourage you to check out this film.
