How Sony Has Looked Long Term To Make The Playstation 4 The Console of Choice

With Sony holding an estimated 2-1 sales advantage over their chief rival Microsoft in terms on console sales it could be easy for them to think the first year of the new console is going better than expected.
By all indicationsthe Playstation 4 is exceeding expectations and has had a very solid and
popular launch year with the versatility of the system and games that it
offers. Personally, I think that if they will add a feature to the whole console would appeal to a largest market.”

In the ever changing world of entertainment, audiences can be fickle with their tastes but loyal to a brand and that perhaps is the biggest challenge ahead for Sony.

We know that they have some great entertainment coming in 2015 and beyond, and that Playstation TV and Project Morpheus could take them to a new level of interactive entertainment, but is there a risk of trying to do too much too soon facing Sony?

Remember this is a company that by their own admissions has struggled to meet consumer demand for their Playstation 4 system and has had the highly anticipated The Order: 1886 delayed from the prime Holiday Shopping Season. While some may have concerns over this it is important to remember the big picture. U.S. companies often look only at the next couple of quarters, whereas Japanese companies often look at the wide-ranging prognosis and have shown that that will lose money short term in order to reach higher profits later.

Sony will be rolling out several AAA titles that hopefully will support Project Morpheus which if successful should give them an increased edge over Microsoft in terms of offering gaming that combines powerful and fun games with the awesome potential of virtual reality. While the race for the top spot is far from over, and some fans moan over the lack of exclusives available currently for the PS 4, Sony seems to not be taken their early success for granted and is gearing up for the long run by producing powerful technologies to push the appeal of their system even further.
