Dead Island Game Recognized for Its Contribution to Development of the Horror Genre

Today in Moscow begins the fourth edition of the Russian Annual Horror Film Awards. The event will distinguish authors specialized in the horror genre. Techland’s game designer Maciej Binkowski is there to receive a special award for the game Dead Island on the behalf of its producer Adrian Ciszewski. The game has been awarded for its contribution to development of the horror genre. The event will offer a wide range of attractions for the audience, such as press conferences, meetings with the authors, who will gladly sign autographs, and a demonstration of Techland’s game Dying Light. What is more, Maciej Binkowski will leave his handprint that will then join the walk of fame in Moscow’s cinema Baltica. The event will be honored by such celebrities as Dmitry Glukhovsky (author of best-selling novels Metro 2033 and Metro 2034), Hollywood director Stuart Gordon, film producer Brian Yuzna, and others.

The Awards ceremony will be held Sunday, January 26th, at 7 p.m. local time at the DomZhur cinema-concert hall.
