Scribe Peter Iliff (“Patriot Games,” “Under Suspicion”) will pen a live-action big screen film version of game show “American Gladiators” reports Variety.
This film version of the highly popular series, which first aired in 1988 and has been adapted into local editions in at least a dozen other countries, features the Herculean characters as superheroes.
Scott Mednick will produce, show creator Johnny Ferraro will executive produce and a 2011 release is planned.
