McAdams Becomes Cat For Spidey?

The Black Cat, aka. Felicia Hardy, is a fictional cat burglar who is currently an occasional crime fighter and adventurer in Marvel Comics and an ex-girlfriend of Spider-Man. Now comes word this week through several sources that the character will be a key element of the upcoming fourth “Spider-Man” feature.

The talk kicked off on the weekend at Mania.com which reported that Rachel McAdams had met with producers about the role which would be one of the two villains in the film, the other being a male villain currently seeking casting which would mean Dylan Baker’s Dr. Curt Conners character would not be turning into The Lizard in this chapter.

Shortly after The Guardian ran a column from actress Romola Galai who spent Tuesday morning this week putting herself “on tape” for “Spider-Man 4” though didn’t specify what role she had.

A few hours later Hey U Guys came up with an apparent breakdown of the character in the film. If correct, SPOILERS AHEAD – “she is the daughter of the new editor of The Daily Bugle, a man who is also referred to as ‘a viper’. She falls in love with Peter Parker, and uncovers his true identity. Her father then dies, and Hardy becomes a threat to Peter Parker.” The same site also says that ‘viper’ has some relevance, the father character could well be the second villain, but no Spidey villain goes by such a name.
