Three of the key players behind the scenes of 1995 thriller hit “Se7en” are set to reteam for “The Reincarnation of Peter Proud” at Sony Pictures says Heat Vision.
David Fincher is attached to direct, Andrew Kevin Walker will adapt the script and Michael De Luca will produce.
An adaptation of the Max Ehrlich novel, the story centers on a college professor who begins having recurring dreams and nightmares and, realizing they are images of a past life, decides to search out the source of the visions.
With his girlfriend in tow, he discovers a woman and her grown-up daughter who are keys to his past life. The plan is to follow the 1973 novel more closely than the previous 1975 film, while also updating it for a contemporary setting.
Michael Sarrazin and Margot Kidder starred in the earlier 1975 feature adapted by Ehrlich himself.
